Hi there everyone. It has been, let's say... an eventful weekend. I'd just like to say thank you so much to all of you who have still been visiting my little spot on the internet here while I've been AWOL ( Absent Without Official Leave ). I was so sure that my inconsistency would be staring me square in the face in the form of zero visits when I returned but I am so glad to see that you're all still out there , ever supporting and encouraging. And now it is my turn to apologize to you all. I am so sorry for  my unannounced departure these past few days both on the blog and on social media but I have an explanation, not an excuse, an explanation.

But firstly if you missed last Wednesday's post on my October Challenge you can catch it here and also find out what challnege I've set myself for November! If you're doing any challenges of your own, or have any idead for me, I'd also love to know so hit me up in the comments. Now, back to this eventful weekend I was telling you about.

On Thursday night I went out to a Halloween party and woke up the next morning to find that my phone had stopped working. Actually to be more precise, the screen only works on one side of the offensive crack that had appeared over night. As a result I had no way to get into the phone to check messages or anything. Can't answer phone calls because the answer button is on the side of the screen that doesn't work. My spare phones did not recognize my SIM card even after traveling to the phone shop to get a new sim. On top of that, my annual change of season flu has set in and now I'm coughing like I smoke 50 packets a day, sneezing everywhere, sore throat, headaches and playing temperature roulette.

Whilst waiting for either someone with a spare phone to turn up or my monthly work pay to come through so I could fix the screen, I just kind of gave myself up to not being so easily accessible to everyone's beck and call at all time and drinking lots and lots of Lemsip. But the major downside to this blissful ignorance is the fact that for the past week and a half I have been slaving hours on foot and over the internet handing out CVs for jobs and the fact that I may miss one because I can't answer the phone to a prospective employer has been a constant source of anxiety but I'm also trying not to think too much about it. I have managed to get an interview for a marketing internship that I would absolutely love to get so wish me luck!!

Thankfully it was a busy weekend filled with fun catch ups with the girls, house parties, pumpkin carvings, horror movies and of course Halloween and work in between all that so I didn't mind so much. And I was so tempted to take tonight of as well and just not post on the blog but I couldn't do that to all you guys, it wouldn't be fair. And so here I am trying not to sound like a complaining cow and find 'a precious this garbage dump of a situation' *

As of now I should hopefully have a new phone by this evening so I may be back on social media annoying y'all on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and so forth. Follow me there if you're not already to see when I come back to life. Links are in the sidebar and top left of you computer screens.

How did y'all spend your Halloween weekends? Did you dress up? And what did you dress up as?

*Quote from Juno's stepmom from the movie Juno which I studied inside and out for my final exams.

Till next time my pretties xxx

  1. Oh man I love Juno! I'm jealous you studied it for school, haha! May favourite line-snipit of Bren's? "East-Jesus nowhere." I use it constantly, haha ;) I've also been using 'Woah, dream big!" quite a bit! Anyway, glad to see you back after everything, haha! It's an unfortunate combination of problems, but nothing that can't be resolved.

I didn't do a thing for Halloween, at least, nothing I wasn't already going to be doing! I hope your weekend was great :)
