Dress - Thrift Shop
Boots - Cans
Jacket - Primark
On Thursday this week, we had the wonderful opportunity to attend a conference with all the colleges in Ireland, some UK colleges and a few international ones.
I was really hoping the event will help guide me towards not only a college but a course that'll be suited for me. I've bounced between career options for the last few years, all seemingly related to the TV series I was addicted to at the time. Surgeon ( Grey's Anatomy), Lawyer ( Suits) and even criminal ( White Collar, OITNB).
In a month or two I have to fill out an application with the courses and universities I want. There aren't many chances after then for a change of mind for an indecisive person like myself.
Thankfully the Prospectuses I spent half the day logging around are giving me a lot more information than the few people I spoke to that day.
I don't know what I'll be when I grow up...yet but I'm ready and searching high and above within myself to find out!
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
It's a shame Ultimate Thrift Shopper isn't a recognized job title...anywhere. I found this gem of a dress tucked in between a tightly packed line of clothes. Midnight velvet with an oriental touch. It was definitely love at first sight. So much so that I hid it, deeply, within the clothes and went back for it the next day! If that's not commitment, I don't know what is!
Also, It's exactly one more week till my birthday!!! Yaaas!!!! *insert appropriate party emojis*

Honestly, I did an entire undergraduate degree and I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up! I remember when I was very young I wanted to be a teacher, but that thought is long gone - it's definitely not a 'me' thing. I hope you find yourself having an easier time with it. But, if you don't, just remember so many people are in the same position :)
ReplyDeleteI love your dress! You seem to be so successful with second hand/thrift shops. I really like it paired with the jacket, the combination of such different, diverse fabrics is so brilliant!

Oh, also, I've nominated you for the Liebster Award! If you're interested, information can be found here: http://sexycardi.blogspot.com/2015/09/liebster-award.html
Delete@Erin you're like a hub of comforting words!! I also wanted to be a teacher but I totally get the 'me' thing. It's a lovely idea I like to entertain but it's not for me either.
DeleteThrift shopping is borderline unhealthy for me. I live a few minutes from our local thrift shop and I don't think I've ever walked in there without leaving with something, hahaha I'm terrible for it but this dress was a total gem and thank you so much for your kind words!
I love the Leibster awards, thank you so much for the nomination, it's amazing that you'd even want to nominate me :O However, I've participated in it a few times with past blogs and although I won't be fully partaking this time, I have a few blogs I know would be perfect for this award and I'll link them to your site for more details.
Thank you so much Erin!! xxx
