Dublin, Ireland

Last month I set myself the challenge of getting between 8-10 hours of sleep a night. Something a lot easier said than done but not impossible. It might have taken me a while to stop wandering around the house aimlessly glancing at my phone with no purpose before actually settling into bed but now I find myself drifting well before eleven most nights.

The past few weeks have been work load after work load and with my final year of secondary education around the corner ( eeeekkk) , it's looking to be an incredibly busy year to go. So carrying with the theme of caring for ones body , inside and out, this month I've decided to give some extra TLC to my skin and hair needs starting with this honey cleansing mask.

Once again I find my will of not decorating myself in anything edible losing out to the benefits of mother nature. Honey on its own has so many benefits whether taken internally or externally. When used correctly with other natural ingredients, it can help cure acne, clean pores, give a more even skin tone etc. and honey on its own is just as good.

Raw Honey Mask

Taken straight from the jar and applied to skin for a mere 10 minutes can give you clearer glowing skin. I was so surprised to find how clean my face felt after my first treatment and its the same every time.

I like to take a small bit of coconut oil and rub it into my face after every session because it's a natural moisturizer and an easily absorbed oil so it doesn't to tally make your face feel like a grease-ball.

I have to say, I'm quite excited for this challenge, I'm not sure I trust myself not to eat my beauty treatments but I guess we'll see.

Let me know what you think of this honey mask.

  1. That's great that you're working to take better care of your body! A proper sleep schedule is something I need to start desperately. You can only lie to yourself about sleeping 'til 11am being okay because it is a weekend for so long.

I had never really considered using honey. I knew things like sugar and brown sugar could be used for good things, but honey didn't occur to me! I hope it continues to work well for you :)

    1. Yes, there's definitely only so long you can tell yourself that alright hahahah I seriously cannot stress enough how much I love this honey treatment, honestly, it's godly!
