Skin Tight

Tunic - Mint Velvet
Leather Leggings - Mint Velvet
Ankle Boots - Topshop
Purse - Pull & Bear

I have not always been a fan of leggings, opting to wear them around the house than outside. However ever since I wore my first pair to athletics training and no one made fun of my 'stocky legs' ( for so long I was very self-conscious about my legs being quite buffed up, I know, I know, but I was 12) , I have accepted them into my wardrobe and have fallen deeply in love with their sheer comfort. With that said, these pair of leather high waist leggings from Mint Velvet is one of the most comfortable things I have ever worn. They are like a more classy version of Sandy's leggings in Grease with the comfort level of your favorite tracksuit bottoms.

The tunic itself was something that I am ashamed to say, I did not hold in high regard upon first glance. I mean, I liked the print and style but was unsure of the fit and if it'd flatter my body shape. I gravitate towards clothes that are slimming and lengthening because I am so small and didn't see it giving me that. However paired with these black leggings and cute ankle boots from Topshop that my mother unknowing to her, donated to my wardrobe, I couldn't help but fall in love with it. Above all, I love the dark tones in the outfit contrasted with the white. I added the purse because tan and brown are one of my favorite color combinations of all time and I also wanted to add color that contrasted the black and white while tying it all together at the same time.

How would you have styled this tunic? And what shopping victories have you had lately? I'm currently on the look out for a slip dress, any ideas where I might bag one?

Hope you enjoyed this post, and I'd love to know what you think of it.

Till next time my pretties xxx

  1. Well, I'm sorry that you avoided leggings for so long, they look great on you! I acutally just picked up a new pair of leggings, though they're a plain black in a basic material. But I'm going to wear the crap out of them in the fall with a nice and soft grey jumper that I bought on a great sale last week :) I love the outfit, I really like the contrast in the materials especially. And white and black is always a great contrast as well! Honestly, I probably would not have even picked up the tunic. For others (like you!) it looks great, but I feel like it would emphasis my hips which I don't like, I find that affect makes my torso look short (which it is, but we don't gotta point it out ;) )

The outfit you're describing sounds so beautifully cosy! Oh my gosh, I'm jealous just thinking about it! I hope you'll do an outfit post on it. I can't wait to wear my knitwear either because Lord knows I have many!
Hahahaha I guess we all have insecurities we'd rather not point out, don't worry, I won't say anything if you don't say anything lol
